Specify the goal of this model so Snap can choose the best predictive analytics algorithm

Description: Predict the customer churn for Acme Widgets for the Q3 of 2012. Date to be obtained from the AW sales database.

The goal here is to predict ‘categorical’ values i.e. binary values [ex: Yes/No] or a small set of discrete values [ex: Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large]. Classification is the goal of most common predictive analytic exercise. Snap will run through and then automatically pick from a variety of algorithms such as Decision Trees, Support Vectors Machines, Linear Regression, Neural Net etc. to come up with the best classification model. The data for classification is usually in the form of a table (rows and columns).
